SUT ranked 2^nd in Thailand in THE Young University Rankings 2023

Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) has achieved a ranking 401 - 500 in the world and securing the 2nd position among Thai universities under 50 years old in 2023, according to the THE Young University Rankings 2023. SUT has shown increasing trends particularly in industry income, research, and internationalization. SUT remains committed to continuous improvement and maintaining its position as a leading educational institution.

On July 3, 2023, Times Higher Education - THE, a prestigious university ranking organization from England, released the official ranking of young universities in 2023 (THE Young University Rankings 2023). The scale featured Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) in the 401-500 group of universities under 50 years old. SUT also ranked second among Thai universities in this group. The top three universities in the world in this category were Nanyang Technological University from Singapore, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology from Hong Kong, and Paris Sciences et Lettres – PSL Research University Paris from France.

The 2023 rankings encompassed a comprehensive evaluation of 963 universities worldwide. The top three positions in this highly competitive category were claimed by renowned institutions such as Nanyang Technological University from Singapore, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology from Hong Kong, and Paris Sciences et Lettres – PSL Research University Paris from France.

SUT's Rector, Associate Professor Dr. Anan Tongra-ar, said the ranking of young universities, "THE Young University Rankings 2023" included 963 universities worldwide. Among them, 10 Thai universities made the list. SUT was the second-best Thai university after Mae Fah Luang University. The ranking criteria were identical to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023.
