Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) has been officially ranked 9th among Thailand’s leading universities in the SCImago Institutions Rankings 2025. The university is positioned at 551st  in Asia, 1,599th  globally, and 4,280th  among all institutions worldwide across various sectors.
 
Significant Ranking Improvement
 
 
This year, SUT has made a remarkable leap of 8 ranks from last year’s ranking in Thailand, demonstrating significant progress. In specific categories:
 
• Media Visibility: 6th in Thailand (up 6 ranks from last year)
 
• Innovation: 19th in Thailand (up 4 ranks from last year)
 
• Research Quality: 11th in Thailand
 
Top-Ranked Fields of Study
 
Among global university rankings, SUT’s top-ranked disciplines in Thailand are:
 
• Earth and Planetary Sciences – 4th in Thailand
 
• Veterinary Sciences – 6th in Thailand
