:: Suranaree University of Technology showcases excellence and commitment to sustainability in the 2024 THE Impact Rankings ::

 

Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) has been ranked 11th in Thailand, within the 401-600 range globally in the Times Higher Education (THE) University Impact Rankings 2024. This ranking evaluates universities worldwide on their progress towards achieving the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This year's ranking was highly competitive compared to last with 2,152 institutions worldwide participating in the event, an increase of 26% from the previous year.

 

 

SUT excelled particularly in three SDGs:

 

 

SDG 1 (No Poverty): Ranked 4th in Thailand and 101-200 globally.

 

 

SDG 2 (Zero Hunger): Ranked 8th in Thailand and 101-200 globally.

 

SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy): Ranked 13th in Thailand and 301-400 globally.

 

 

Overall, SUT scored 73.4 points, reflecting its strong commitment to sustainable development, particularly in eradicating poverty, ending hunger, and ensuring access to affordable and clean energy. This recognition highlights SUT's dedication to addressing critical global challenges and its role as an innovation and sustainable university.

 

 

Associate Professor Dr. Anan Tongraar, Rector of SUT, commented on the university's achievements, emphasizing that these results demonstrate SUT's responsiveness to current global issues and its ongoing commitment to sustainable development.
