Suranaree University of Technology Tops the THE Young University Rankings 2024 in Thailand

On May 14, 2024, the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) officially announced the world’s leading universities under 50 years old for the year 2024 (THE Young University Rankings 2024). The top three universities worldwide are Nanyang Technological University from Singapore, Paris Sciences et Lettres – PSL Research University Paris from France, and The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology from Hong Kong.

Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) is ranked at 401-500 worldwide and is the top ranked university in Thailand.

Associate Professor Dr. Anan Tongraar, Rector of SUT, announced the results of the "THE Young University Rankings 2024," which ranked 673 universities (1,171 including reporter universities) worldwide. This year, five universities from Thailand made the list, with Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) securing the top spot among Thai institutions. The top three Thai universities are SUT, Mae Fah Luang University, and Walailak University, as shown in Table 1.
