Suranaree University of Technology and the Materials Research Society of Thailand Open MRS-Thailand 2025 International Conference in Grand Style, Joining Forces with ECS Thailand to Drive Materials Innovation for Sustainable Development

 

Bangkok – May 14, 2025 – Suranaree University of Technology, in collaboration with the Materials Research Society of Thailand (MRS-Thailand) and the Electrochemical Society of Thailand (ECS Thailand), officially opened the 5th Materials Research Society of Thailand International Conference (MRS-Thailand 2025) and the 1st ECS Thailand Meeting at The Berkeley Hotel Pratunam, Bangkok. Held under the theme “Innovations in Materials Science for Sustainable Development,” the event aims to promote research, development, and knowledge exchange in materials science for the benefit of society and environmental sustainability.

 

Professor Dr. Santi Maensiri, President of the Materials Research Society of Thailand and Dean of the Institute of Science at Suranaree University of Technology, delivered the opening remarks as Chair of the Conference. He emphasized the conference’s objective to serve as a key platform for sharing scientific and technological advancements in materials science and for building networks among researchers both domestically and internationally in pursuit of global sustainable development goals.

 

The opening ceremony was presided over by Dr. Phanphoemsak Arunhee, Assistant Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, who officially launched the event. The conference welcomed over 400 participants from various institutions in Thailand and abroad.

 

MRS-Thailand 2025 features a comprehensive program across 16 symposia, focusing on advancements in materials science related to clean energy, sustainability, and technological innovation. Academic activities include:
