มทส. เข้าหารือกับผู้บริหาร ITS มหาวิทยาลัยติดอันดับ Top 5 ของอินโดนีเซียเพื่อสานต่อความร่วมมือ

เช้าวันที่ 12 ก.ค. 2561 ผู้บริหารมหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีสุรนารี โดย รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.อนันต์ ทองระอา รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิจัย นวัตกรรม และพัฒนาเทคโนโลยี ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.พงษ์ชัย จิตตะมัย รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายการเงินและทรัพย์สิน และ รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.สิริโชค จึงถาวรรณ ผู้อำนวยการศูนย์กิจการนานาชาติ เข้าพบ Prof. Ir. Joni Hermana อธิการบดี Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) ณ เมืองสุราบายา ประเทศอินโดนีเซีย เพื่อหารือถึงแนวทางในการขยายการสร้างความร่วมมือทางด้านวิชาการ วิจัย และการสร้างความเป็นสากล

 
 
 
ผู้บริหาร มทส. ได้มีโอกาสหารือกับคณบดี และผู้บริหารจากคณะต่างๆ ของ ITS ในการสร้างความร่วมมือทางด้านวิจัยและวิชาการ ซึ่ง ITS เป็นมหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีเฉพาะทางของรัฐที่ติดอันดับ Top 5 ของอินโดนีเซีย มีความโดดเด่นในงานวิจัยทางด้านวิศวกรรม และวิทยาศาสตร์ ในการหารือนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายมีความเห็นร่วมกันในการขยายความร่วมมือด้าน Research Collaboration และส่งเสริมให้เกิด Faculty Exchange มากขึ้นขึ้น เพื่อให้สามารถนำไปสู่การทำ Joint Publication ในด้านของความร่วมมือด้านวิชาการ ทาง ITS ได้เสนอการทำหลักสูตร Double Degree Program และส่งเสริมเรื่อง Student Mobility ของทั้งสอสถาบัน ในการหารือนี้ ทาง มทส. ได้เสนอแนวคิดในเรื่องสหกิจศึกษา ว่า มทส. มีความพร้อมในการรับนักศึกษาจากอินโดนีเซียเพื่อส่งต่อไปยังสถานประกอบการในประเทศไทยในการฝึกงาน และเสนอแนวคิดในการให้การสนับสนุนการพัฒนาทักษะด้าน Entrepreneurship ให้กับนักศึกษาจากอินโดนีเซีย ซึ่งทาง ITS ได้ให้ความสนใจในสองเรื่องนี้เป็นอย่างมาก นอกจากนี้ทาง ITS ยังได้เสนอเรื่อง Exchange of Non-Academic Staff เพื่อให้เกิดการเรียนรู้และพัฒนาทักษะของพนักงานในระดับสนับสนุนวิชาการของทั้งสองสถาบัน
 
 
ในช่วงบ่าย ผู้บริหารของ มทส. ได้มีโอกาสเยี่ยมชมกิจกรรม COMMTECH Camp ซึ่งเป็นกิจกรรมค่ายเพิ่มพูนทักษะทางวิชาการและแลกเปลี่ยนวัฒนธรรมที่จัดเป็นประจำทุกปี ในปีนี้จัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 9-21 กค 2561 โดยมีนักศึกษาจากหลายประเทศเข้าร่วมเป็นจำนวนมาก ในปีนี้มีนักศึกษาจาก มทส. 4 คนเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมนี้

SUT and ITS (top 5 university in Indonesia) executives discussed collaborations.

In the morning of the 12th July 2018, the Vice Rector for Research, Innovation and Technology Development, the Vice Rector for Finance and Assets, and the Director of the Centre for International Affairs met Prof. Ir. Joni Hermana, the Rector of Institut Tecknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) in Surabaya, Indonesia. The meeting was help in order to discuss ways to expand collaboration in academic affairs, research and internationalisation.

In addition, SUT executives had an opportunity to discuss with deans of many faculties of ITS for research and academic collaboration. ITS is a specialised university ranked in the top 5 universities in Indonesia. ITS has outstanding research reputation in engineering and sciences. During the discussion, the two universities agreed to expand collaboration in research and to encourage more exchange of academic staff and researchers. This is to increase the number of joint publications. In the academic aspect, ITS has suggested the development of double-degree programmes and the support of student mobility between the two universities.

SUT presented the concept of cooperative education that SUT would be ready to have students from Indonesia and to send them to workplaces in Thailand. The development of entreprenuership skills would be offerred to ITS students, too. Furthermore, ITS mentioned the possiblility of the exchange of non-academic staff to promote learning and skill development of the supporting staff of the two universities.

In the afternoon, the SUT executives visited COMMTECH Camp which was held to increase academic skills and to exchange culture for the participants. This year, four students from SUT attended the event.
