A doctoral degree requires three years of specialized study and research beyond the master's degree. Applicats to the Ph.D. programme are expected tp already have a Master's degree in English or its equavalent. Applicants with a Master's degree in some related area, or those with the relevant postgraduate work experience or academic achivement - it they satisfy the entry conditions - may also be admitted, with requirements to undertake some coursework. A Ph. D. candidate is required to take the following credits

Dissertation  48 credit hours
