Animal Production Technology has been the major area of study at the Institute of Agricultural Technology since the beginning of Suranaree University of Technology.

School members engage in a wide range of teaching, research, and extension activities. Their interests include most of the major disciplines of modern animal biology. Some do fundamental, discovery research while others address very practical problems of current interest to animal producers and farmers related to the biology and production of domestic animals.

However, the main focus of our attention is on our students, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Undergraduate teaching is accommodated by a four year degree stressing the technical, managerial and practical aspects. Postgraduate training is provided by way of formal as well as the research Masters and Ph.D. degrees.

Our school is small, in terms of numbers of people but we have excellent facilities for teaching and research. In addition, we obtain funds to support our research from a variety of national and international sources.

We are justly proud of the strong commitment to excellence of our students and staff, and gain pride in seeing our alumni successfully pursuing their profession.
